Tell your MP that nature should be restored.

We all need nature. Its essential to our lives. Its the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat. Its our defence against scorching and flooding, and its the beauty in our world. It's not a nice-to-have, or a blocker to growth. It is not the enemy. Right now, nature is in freefall. Today, the UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. But the Government isn't taking this seriously enough.

In the last year, it has positioned nature as a blocker to economic growth, rolled back on important environmental protections, and is not on track to meet its promise to restore nature.

Our most precious places and species, from forests, parks and coasts to skylarks and hedgehogs, are in danger. And without proper action to restore nature, our food security is at risk, our waters will remain polluted, and the next generation will inherit a world in deeper crisis.

There is another way. Restore nature now, and we can create a thriving country.

We need your help to call for change. Ahead of the Kings Speech in May, we're asking the UK Government for three things:

1. Restore nature now – the Government must honour the UK’s commitment to manage 30% of land for nature by 2030. That means designating more space for nature and paying our farmers properly to help nature thrive.

2. Defend nature and wildlife – stop weakening the laws that protect them. Introduce a strong Water Reform Bill to clean up our rivers, streams and seas, and make polluters pay.

3. Build places to be proud of – demand that neighbourhoods are rich in nature and end unfair access to green space, starting by publishing the Government’s long-promised action plan by the end of the year.

It’s time to decide. Will we create a thriving world? There is still time for the UK Government to change course and do the right thing. To plan a future where people and nature thrive. To protect wildlife and support communities. Its their duty to do so. Without nature, there is no future.
